Obituary in the Daily Pantagraph
BLOOMINGTON - Mindy Sue Stielow, 46, Bloomington, died Monday (Sept. 8, 2008) at 12:35 a.m. at her home.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Pastor Thomas Wirsing and Pastor Allen Steinbeck officiating. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Kibler-Smith Memorial Home, Bloomington. Donations may be made to an education trust for her sons or to the American Cancer Society.

Mindy is survived by her sons, Brant A. Stielow, Bloomington, and Trevor A. Stielow, Pontiac. Other survivors include her parents, Gary (Maryanne) Lenning, Chicago; and Wilma R.B. (John) Marshall, Buffalo, Wyo.; her sisters, Gini (Spencer) Lenning-Medford and Jodi Lenning; nephew, Zachary Lenning; nieces, Alyssa and Emilee Lenning, all of Chicago; grandparents, Willard and Ruth Balfour, Toledo, Iowa; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Mindy was employed at State Farm for 22 years. She also taught aerobics, kickboxing and Silver Sneakers classes at the YMCA and Bloomington Parks and Recreation. Mindy was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

She was known for her outgoing nature, quick smile and willingness to help others whenever possible. Also for her talents in sewing, beading and numerous other crafts. Through her activities, she met and became friends with many and enjoyed their visits especially during her battle with cancer that limited her ability to be out and about.
