Hi there, how are ya?

This section of the home page is about me, so if you're not here for that you can move along now, nothing to see here, this is not the home page you're looking for.

My place of employment: Akamai You may not know who they are, but you're using them whether or not you're aware of it.
I used to be the Manager of the Customer Support Center for Genuity.. Before being called Genuity, it was known as GTE Internetworking. Before GTE bought it, this division was better known to those in the Internet business as BBN, one of the forerunners in developing the Internet. In case you're curious, before joining BBN/GTE/Genuity, I was the Manager of Technical Support for The World, the oldest residential Internet Service Provider on the planet.

I don't have a lot of time to work on my home page, so things ebb and flow. Some people prefer color pictures, so I made a few available. I love cats, and I have two. Natually, there are lots of photos of them on here. If you're family or friend, you might be interested in my wedding page. As a side project, I've done some research, writing, and production work for specials on the SCI-FI Channel. Here are some 'behind the scenes' shots from the Quantum Leap marathon that aired February 29, 1996.
Not enough? Here's even more about me for those curious types.

I run the official home page for Bill Irwin. It's very hard to describe what he does, but I guess the closest description is actor/performance artist/vaudeville clown. But his work really transcends description.

I have various odd interests which take up my free time. Most of the time I'm doing things related to the SCA (The Society for Creative Anachronism) and my local group, the Barony of Carolingia, which is comprised of the greater Boston metro area.
I've included a bunch of related links in the list of WWW sites at the bottom of this page.
Here are some pictures from Pennsic XXVI.

Obscure internet-related items:

- I was the original creator of the rec.arts.theatre newsgroup (which sprang from a mailing list I started in 1988)
- I run many mailing lists, including sondheim@indra.com (for Stephen Sondheim), comix@indra.com (for non-mainstream comic books), styx@indra.com (for the band Styx), h-costume@indra.com (historical costuming), f-costume@indra.com (for fantasy costumers) and others. If you write to me about a mailing list, please give the name of the list so I know which one you're talking about.

I'm also into some Japanese anime and manga. My current favorites are Ranma 1/2 and Sailor Moon.

Here is a link to my friends over at Chez INWAP in northern California. See if you can find out what INWAP means.

More of my friends' home pages:
  • Dara Golden and Mark Roulo.
  • Anita Kilgour, married to Paul Woodard.
  • Jenni Kirtley likes to MUD and MUSH.
  • Julie Kistler, who writes romances and reviews theatre.

I've been wandering the net for a while, and here is a list of WWW pages I think are interesting.
