Indra’s Net Offers Workspace Use to Those Affected by the Fire

Written by sam

Indra’s Net wishes to extend its heartfelt thoughts and prayers to all of our neighbors affected by the Fourmile Canyon Fire, and to the emergency responders fighting it.  We would like to offer the use of our quiet and comfortable (and blazingly-fast-wifi-connected!) conference room for anyone displaced by the evacuations who needs a place to get a little bit of work done, particularly employees of small or home-based businesses, bloggers, authors, etc. Additionally, we would also welcome any governmental or NGO emergency response organizations that would like to reserve the room for a meeting, briefing, or retreat (it seats 8 comfortably).

We are making our conference room available between the hours of 9am and 7pm every day for the rest of the week. If your emergency responder group would like to reserve it, please call ahead and make a reservation with John Green at 303-884-8932. Otherwise, feel free to just drop in between the hours specified (although you might want to call or re-check this post before you head over just to make sure that there are no group reservations pending).

Indra’s Net is located at 2525 (the west side) of 28th Street. Park in the lot on the south side (or in the garage for shade) and enter through the glass doors adjoining the lot. Walk up the small flight of stairs, go straight past the bathrooms, and you’ll see our door on the right, Suite 136. We have good cell reception, great wifi, a white board, water and tea, and moral support waiting for you.

Indra’s Net is proud to be one of the so very many businesses and organizations that have extended offers of help to those impacted by this horrific fire. Here’s a Daily Camera article on how special our town really is: http://www.dailycamera.com/ci_16016544.

Literally HUNDREDS of offers of assistance for evacuees (and emergency responders) can be found at the newly-created online forum http://fourmilefirehelp.com. From spare bedrooms and barns to massages and wine, our community has truly opened its hearts, homes, and pocketbooks to our fellow Boulderites in need. If you’re one of the displaced, PLEASE check out this forum and avail yourself of the generosity of your neighbors. We truly want to help.
